About the event

In preparation for our time together in St. Louis for the 2026 NSC Sobering Summit this fall, the National Sobering Collaborative is excited to highlight the innovative approaches and partnerships in the Gateway City.

This presentation will highlight SSM Health's Behavioral Health Urgent Care at St. Louis University, demonstrating how rapid-access mental health care can divert individuals away from emergency departments and jails while providing timely, person-centered support. Attendees will see how this model meets people where they are—with walk-in access, multidisciplinary staffing, medication management, and strong community linkages. Importantly for sobering care providers and stakeholders, this session explores how Behavioral Health Urgent Care and Sobering Centers can work together to serve their communities.
